1. Aims & Objectives of HFCON &AHS

To train highly qualified, skillful and graduate nurses who can
Meet the growing needs of the country with sound knowledge and technical skills.
Maintain the highest standards of nursing care in an advanced health environment.
To upgrade the faculty development in collaboration with National and International Institutions.
To improve standards clinical practice with critical thinking, scientific research, and knowledge.
To demonstrate professionalism, generosity and an empathetic attitude during delivery of patient care.

2. Admission Criteria

Qualification:

Matric Science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology as compulsory subjects)
FSc (Pre-Medical) with 55% marks minimum (Physics, Chemistry & Biology as compulsory subjects)
Age Limit: 18-35 years
Gender Ratio: Open merit
Married/ Unmarried (Not in consideration)
To appear and pass the admission test and interview
Domicile Sindh only

3. Documents Required on Short Listing

12 colored passport size recent photograph with plain background
Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and mark sheet (Science Group), verified by Metric Board)
Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC – Pre-medical) (verified by intermediate board)
B-Form/CNIC (copy of both sides).
Domicile (mandatory)
Migration certificate (other than Karachi board at the time of admission)

4. Entry test and interview:

The entry test is administered is consists of multiple-choice questions and comprise of 4 component including English Language, Mathematics Reasoning, Chemistry, Biology and Physics as prescribed by board of intermediate board.

Important **Note: The entry test will be valid for the current session only**.

5. Curriculum for 4 Year Generic BScN Degree Program

The Holy Family College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences have adopted a curriculum that was developed and approved jointly by the Pakistan Nursing Council Islamabad & Higher Education Commission, Pakistan (for detail refers page # xxx).

6. Award of Degree

All students when complete the entire course requirements (theory, clinical) is awarded a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Degree from Dow University of Health Sciences (DHSH) Karachi (whom HFHCON-AHS is affiliated).

***At present HFCON-AHS is accepting applications for 4 year BScN Degree and Post RN Nurse Midwifery Diploma program every year from September to November. Interested candidates can apply in person by collecting the admission form HFCON-AHS Reception office or online by logging on xxxxx***

1. Instructions for the Entry Test

For all programs the test duration will be two hours.
All rough work must be done on the back of the question paper.
Any evidence of plagiarism or non-compliance with instructions will result in disqualification from the test.
The use of electronic devices is strictly prohibited in jurisdiction of test center.
Candidates must bring their own stationary with a black pen, pencil, eraser, and sharpener (in a transparent pouch).
Candidates must bring their admission slips at the time of the entry test.

**Important Note: the entry test will be valid for the current session only**.

3. Enrollment

The successful candidates of 4 year BScN Degree program will be enrolled with the with affiliated university, post RN Midwifery Diploma Program Sindh Nurses Examination Board, and medical technician with Medical Faculty Board (SMFB) within one month of admission. The enrollment fee will be charged to the candidates.

5. Cancellation of admission

The institute has the right to withdraw the admission of a candidate at any stage on discovery of fake documents that may affect the candidate’s merit position. If any student already selected for the program wants to discontinue the admission process, the application with reasons for the cancellation shall be given by them in writing to the Principal HFHCON.

2. General instructions for interview:

Based on the admission criteria, short-listed candidates will be called for the interview. During the interview, candidates are required to bring their original documents and admission slip.
The use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited on the day of the interview. Candidates should note that interview is a component of the admission process and does not guarantee selection

4. Dismissal

Students can be disqualified from the program if they fail to follow the ethical, professional, and organizational standards of the HFCON, PNC/HEC. Moreover, affiliated University/SNEB assessment policy will also be brought into account for final assessments for the BScN degree and Post RN Midwifery Diploma programs.

6. Licensure Process:

All candidates on completion of their respective Degree, Diploma, or Certificate program, are obliged to apply to register with Pakistan Nursing Council to be eligible to practice as Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife respectively.

8. Rules for payment of program Fees:

Except security NO other paid fees are REFUNDABLE
The amount and schedule of payment of tuition fees will be based on the policies established by the Institute.
Once paid, the fee or installment will not be refundable /transferable in any case, and a claim for refund/transfer will not be acceptable.
HFH CON & AHS management reserves the right to revise the fee structure from time to time.
All candidates prior to applying for any program at HFHCON-AHS should ensure that they meet the admission eligibility criteria, listed under each specific program overview.
